One On One In The Clink

I've been on a jury for two weeks now. My kids reallyreallyreallyreally want to know what the case is about. I keep telling them that I'm not allowed to tell. Tonight Robbie said, "Mom, what would happen if you told us about your case? Would you have to go one on one in the clink?"

Rocket Men

Today, at Science Camp, the guys got to shoot off their rockets they made this week!

Mamma Bear

A few hours ago, Robbie and Brandon came running into the house. Apparently, a man (or woman, not really sure) in a white van yelled at them, "Hey, kids! Get over here!" Like the good, smart boys they are, they ran right into the house and told me. Of course, there was no sign of any white van. I called the police anyway. About 15 minutes later, the officer showed up. He came in, talked to the boys, told me there was nothing to worry about and he would patrol the neighborhood, and left. In between the time I called, and the time he showed up, the boys admitted that maybe it was their other friend Jerrin calling them and trying to scare them. I don't really know if that is true or not, but I told them they needed to tell the officer the truth. They are 9-year olds, so do they really know what that means? Who knows.

Boys, Boys, And Even More Boys!

I have a LOT of little boys in my house right now. Robbie is here. He is playing with Garrett from his class. Brandon from two doors down is here. Jerrin from across the street is here. Jerrin brought his friend Potato with him. They are all playing Guitar Hero. I WAS watching Ellen. So much for that. Now, if only Cameron were here, too. I think the house might burst if he were, though...

Go, Robbie!

A few weeks ago, I had a meeting with some of the teachers at Robbie's school. They thought he may be ADD because of how bad his writing is and how bad his test scores have been. Look what he came home with today!!

Robbie passed his belt test! He is now recommended blue belt. Not bad at all, especially considering he had a fever! Isn't he handsome?

Now, Robbie is watching A Haunting. I watched it a few times when he began to show an interest in the show. We've talked about how we don't believe in ghosts, and how they don't really haunt us, and how dead people can't hurt us. He knows that. I know that. It just strikes me as funny that my 8-year-old is watching exactly the same thing I would have loved to watch at his age. I think I'll start his subscription to the Dean Koontz Fan Club.

Thanks to this terrible channel, Robbie now wants to fart into a balloon to fill it up. This was someones brilliant idea of children's television. He has found is science project for the rest of his school career. I'm so proud.

Robbie's Hair

I'm trying something new. I'm bleaching Robbie's hair. Hopefully, just the top. I've done my own hair a million times, but nothing like this. We are on take two. I think the first time, I was a little nervous because I don't think I put enough stuff on it. This time, I really put it on there. Now for the hard part..the waiting.

Robbie Is Sad...

We just got a phone call. Robbie's hip hop class has been canceled due to poor attendance. He was one of three in his class. He's a little sad right now, but he understands. It helps that I am going to let him stay up and watch the hockey game tonight...

Mom: Robbie, did you take your shower?

Robbie: Yeah.

Mom: Did you wash everything?

Robbie: Yeah.

Mom: Did you get your clothes out of my bathroom?

Robbie: Yeah.

Mom: Are you sure?

Robbie: Mom! I'm sure!
