Hi! It's been awhile! How have you been? Have you missed me? I've missed you!
Because of a little website known as Facebook, I haven't been blogging. I post the goings on of my little family there as statuses. But there are stories. Oh, the stories. I'm hoping to get back into the blogging habit. It may be slow at first, but hang by me. I'll get there.
I've started following some blogs. I really look forward to seeing new posts from these women.
www.thenheathersaid.blogspot.com
This is Heather. She is a leader of a Sparkpeople team I was on. She is wise, brave, witty, strong, and not afraid to say "Want to know me? Here's my heart, welcome to it." I hope to eventually be as brave and strong as she is.
www.dooce.com
This is a different Heather. She is a well known blogger. You may have heard of her. You may have read her. You may have been offended by her. You may have secretly wished to be her. She, like the first Heather, is also brave, but in a completely different way. If a thought enters her head, she doesn't check her filter. She says (err.. types) it. I hope to eventually be as hysterical and "no holds barred" as she is.
I guess that's it for now. I'm going to have to poke around and refigure things out here. I don't even remember how to add pictures, make those blog addresses links, and all that! I'll get it. Just be patient with me.

Our Shared Love
I can't even tell you how happy it makes me that Cameron loves to read. We go to the library every other week. He loves library day. I love the quiet time that always happens when we get home from library day!
We both camp out on my bed and read our new treasures. Robbie ususally goes into his room and listens to music. That's fine, too!

What Do I Do When I'm Alone And Bored?
I drive for an hour and 45 minutes to see Gary Sinise and the Lt.Dan Band! What else? It was strange going to a concert by myself, but it isn't like any conversation could be heard. It was crowded, loud, and way fun! I couldn't get many good pictures (or any good ones at all!) because I'm so freaking short! But it was fun. I'm glad I went. Now I'm off to watch my tivo'd episodes of CSI:NY!
And speaking of New York...I MISS YOU, BILL!!! COME HOME SOON!!!

The Tree Lady
I remember how much I used to love driving past this tree when I was a little girl! I always thought it was the coolest thing ever. And it still is very cool! And, for those of you who know where this tree is, yes, I'm all right. I didn't get shot or anything!
I know it's blurry, but I didn't want to die for this picture...

Cam's Birthday Gift
He's been wanting cowboy boots for 2 years. I can't wait for his birthday! For Cameron, this is going to be the perfect gift! Only 17 more days to go. I'd better wrap them up, or I'll be too tempted to give them to him now!

Mrs. Pronger, My Hero
I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, "Hey, Sarah, how did you get your picture taken with Chris Pronger?" Well, that's not me. I can see how you would think that, though. We could be the same person. Here's a funny story as to why.
Sunday, Bill and I went to the hockey game. I was walking around durning the game to meet another friend of ours, when I noticed Mrs. Pronger and her four kids. I noticed them because one of her sons literally ran right into me. She said in her 'satan/mommy' voice, "IF YOU DON'T KNOCK IT OFF RIGHT THIS MINUTE, WE'RE GOING HOME!! YOU JUST PUSH ME ONE MORE TIME!!"
I've been known to say that exact phrase using that same satan/mommy voice myself a time or two. Isn't is good to know that even the beautiful, rich women get fed up with their kids, too?

One On One In The Clink
I've been on a jury for two weeks now. My kids reallyreallyreallyreally want to know what the case is about. I keep telling them that I'm not allowed to tell. Tonight Robbie said, "Mom, what would happen if you told us about your case? Would you have to go one on one in the clink?"
Ummmm, huh?

Princess Effect
I am now in a position where I work with 3 girls who are 10-15 years younger than I am. One of these girls is great. It's the other two. These girls are loud, rude, and demanding. They never say please when asking for a favor. They just tell you to do it! These girls have no respect for authority. They can often be heard YELLING at our BOSSES! And it isn't a matter of simply overhearing. They are yelling FULL VOICE! They call our bosses names to their faces. They cuss them out. They physically push other employees right in front of our bosses. They have the attitude that says, "I'm better than you. I deserve more than you, and you WILL give it to me." I've asked these girls to treat me with respect, if only because I'm a person, and I have feelings. They just look at me with an 'eat dirt and die' look. What in the world has happened to the 16-22 year old girls in the world? I blame it on the princess craze. And I worry about what kind of women my boys are going to marry.

Um, Excuse Me? What Did You Say?
Robbie came home from school today singing this little ditty. He begged me to go to youtube to see the video. I'll admit I laughed out loud a few times. Here it is for you to enjoy, too! Can you say 'Random'???

What A Day...And It's Only 7:30!!
So far this morning, I've had to deal with a police standoff a block away, which means that everyone driving up Orange Terrace Parkway drove up my street by mistake. They thought they could get through. Nevermind the "Not A Through Street" signs. Made taking the guys to school nearly impossible.
So far this morning, I also had to deal with doggie diarrhea. All. Over. Mostly in Cameron's room, though. My house smells wonderful! Guess who's hanging outside this morning???
What else is this day going to bring? I shudder to ask.
